Experience

My work has always lived in real spaces — barns, classrooms, community centers, yoga studios, and quiet one‑on‑one moments. This page brings together the practical, lived parts of my experience that continue to shape how I support people today.
Yoga, Somatic Teaching & Mindful Movement
I teach accessible Hatha yoga, mindful movement, and meditation across ages and settings — from children to older adults. My work includes school‑based programs, after‑school instruction, nutrition and wellness education, and movement‑based support for regulation and embodiment. Whether in classrooms, community programs, or private instruction, my focus is on helping people reconnect with their bodies in ways that feel grounded, safe, and sustainable.
Youth Programs, Education & Community Support
My work with youth spans gifted‑and‑talented programming, after‑school instruction, academic intervention, and Title I support through AmeriCorps/Ampact. I’ve taught reading and math, coached soccer, volleyball, basketball, and softball, and supported children and families through community‑based programs. I’ve also served as a Sunday school teacher and director, creating environments centered on connection, learning, and emotional safety.
Nonprofit Leadership, Consulting & Community Development
I’ve worked within nonprofit sectors as a consultant, board member, and program developer — with certification from the State of Minnesota in nonprofit operations. My work has supported organizations focused on wellness, youth athletics, community structures, and family services. I’ve also founded two nonprofits: one centered on equine rescue, equine‑assisted experiential learning, and another focused on resource support for individuals affected by domestic violence, domestic assault, and substance use disorder.
Genealogy, Identity Research & Family Connection
I support identity exploration through genealogical research and family‑tree building. My work includes helping adopted adults understand biological lineage and reconnect with birth families through DNA‑based research. This work is grounded in respect, accuracy, and the understanding that identity is both personal and ancestral.
